Five Floor West London Family Home

Project Brief:

Simple system control functions but comprehensive building control including blinds, lighting and heating

Although the initial control is simple, the installation is required to be upgradable and future proof

Implemented Solution:

KNX control bus cable installed by Eighty A Controls Ltd throughout the property

All cabling wired to three locations on different levels of the home automated London home with space allocated for additional functions such as more dimming as required

Under floor heating in the basement and radiators on all other levels controlled from the KNX bus using GIRA room temperature controllers in the associated zone installed and programmed by Eighty A Controls Ltd

Time programs installed and programmed by Eighty A Controls Ltd for the heating and hot water managed by a Theben Room Controller

Silent Gliss Blinds controlled via GIRA wall switches on the KNX bus installed and programmed for home automation by Eighty A Controls Ltd

All switching and dimming for the lighting controlled on the KNX bus via GIRA wall switches installed and programmed by Eighty A Controls Ltd

Structured cabling was installed by Eighty A Controls Ltd throughout the property and terminated in a home networking cabinet for both Data and TV distribution to be used now and in the future

WHD speakers were installed in the living areas of the home automation project in central London for use now via an audio distributor but for upgrading to a multi-room audio solution in the future

GIRA Door Communication System installed and programmed by Eighty A Controls Ltd to allow the internal home stations to communicate to and release both the front door lock and/or the front gate while keeping with the same design as the light switches and sockets
