Project Brief:

Modern design and bespoke integration of all features in the apartment

Implemented Solution:

KNX control bus cable installed by Eighty A Controls Ltd throughout the apartment

An ABB Comfort Touch visualisation touch display installed and programmed by Eighty A Controls Ltd allowed centralised control of all integrated systems of lighting, curtains, shutters, sockets, air conditioning, under floor heating, scenes, emails, online radio and many more features

All local control was implemented by Eighty A Controls Ltd with the ABB PriOn making full use of the modular structure of the PriOn by using switches, temperature, proximity and tft displays only where required

The internal apartment access control was managed with the help of Eighty A Controls Ltd by the GIRA Biometric finger-print reader and interfaced to the ABB Comfort Touch so the call can be taken and the apartment security door released from the Touch Panel. The front door of this systems integrated holiday property was viewed on the Comfort Panel programmed by Eighty A Controls Ltd by use of an AXIS IP camera

The Bang and Olufsen (B & O) Media System was interfaced by Eighty A Controls Ltd to the control system via the ML Gateway to allow two way communication of lighting, climate and scenes with activation of the TV, Satellite and Music managed by B & O

In the bathroom of this home automated holiday apartment the mirror lights were controlled via a capacitive touch unit that was interfaced by Eighty A Controls Ltd to the KNX bus system. This allowed the mirror lights to be turned ON and OFF by touching the correct tile in the bathroom of this systems integrated property

The outside window and door shutters were controlled via the KNX bus which allowed Eighty A Controls Ltd by use of door contacts inputs to set logic in the ABB PriOn so that the shutters would not close if the doors were open

A GIRA weather station was installed in this home automation project by Eighty A Controls Ltd for real time information of temperature, light levels, wind speed and rain that was used for systems integrated building functions to be activated and blocked. The occupiers are also able to make use of this information for their knowledge and comfort by reading it from the home page on the Comfort Touch which was installed and programmed by Eighty A Controls Ltd

The Daikin air conditioning system was controlled by use of the Intesis gateway to KNX

The sockets in the KNX systems integrated apartment were additionally switched by KNX to allow for energy consumption monitoring and also for ease of switching everything off when the apartment was vacated for any period of time by use of the 'Holiday Out' scene
